We are thrilled to share that a group of extraordinary students of JAAGO Foundation School participated in the Smart Children's Carnival, an event organised by the ICT Division at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Forty JAAGO students attended the programme and participated in interactive and technology-based activities designed for children.
A highlight for JAAGO was the participation of Rumi, a Class 10 student from JAAGO Foundation Banani School. Rumi was invited to speak during the opening programme and later host the closing ceremony, giving her an opportunity to demonstrate her communication, presentation and leadership skills before a national audience.
The programme was attended by senior public officials, including the President of Bangladesh, then Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and then State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
For JAAGO, opportunities such as these are valuable when they enable students from underserved backgrounds to develop confidence, engage with new ideas and demonstrate their capabilities beyond the classroom.
Rumi's participation reflected the confidence and leadership that JAAGO Foundation Schools seek to nurture alongside academic learning. We congratulate Rumi and all participating students for representing their schools with confidence and enthusiasm.
