Education and Digital Learning

JAAGO Foundation is committed to empowering lives through education across Bangladesh. In partnership with UNICEF, JAAGO implements the "Educate the Most Disadvantaged Children (EMDC)" project, reaching 11,600 beneficiaries and promoting gender equity in education. In collaboration with U-Go, JAAGO awards annual scholarships to 928 girls and actively engages them in advocacy initiatives at both local and national levels to improve access to education through the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program.

JAAGO has also established a dedicated school for 450 students in Bandarban, supported youth development in Cox’s Bazar, and digitalized primary schools on Maheshkhali Island, benefitting over 10,000 students. In the remote and hilly region of Bandarban, with support from the Japan Embassy, JAAGO enabled the Bus Service Project, which provided daily transport to 85 students and 11 teachers, improving attendance and reducing dropouts. Building on this success, the Japan-funded School Construction Project is establishing a permanent primary and secondary campus for 500 students, enhancing access and enrollment in the indigenous community. Through the "ODOMMO" project funded by the Malala Fund, the Foundation is working to ensure quality education for 1,000 girls by improving access, retention, and learning environments, with a strong focus on community-led advocacy.

Additionally, in collaboration with the World Food Program, JAAGO introduced Surfer’s Megher School in Cox’s Bazar to educate and empower 100 disadvantaged children and youth, integrating life skills and employment readiness with parental and community participation.

JAAGO Foundation implements the English Access Scholarship Program in Mymensingh and Rangpur, funded by the U.S. Embassy, and has successfully completed the Access-Lite Micro Scholarship Program in Ukhiya and Teknaf. These initiatives aim to improve the English language proficiency of 200 underserved students through interactive, project-based learning. In addition to academic advancement, the programs promote social cohesion by fostering collaboration, mutual respect, and inclusive engagement among youth from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, JAAGO’s Tel-Ed initiative supported 3,500 students via SMS and phone, reducing dropout risks and benefiting over 7,000 parents and teachers. The Let’s Read Together project promoted digital literacy and safe internet use among 2,500 children and their parents across five districts. Furthermore, JAAGO’s Safe Haven Project in Rohingya camps offers trauma-informed education and psychosocial support to 500 refugee children, with wider benefits for families and caregivers.

Through these efforts, JAAGO continues to bridge education gaps, empower youth, and promote inclusive learning across Bangladesh.

Digital School Program

JAAGO Foundation provides free, quality education to underserved children across Bangladesh through its flagship Digital School Program. Operating 11 schools in regions such as Dinajpur, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Habiganj, Dhaka, Bandarban, Teknaf, Chattogram, Madaripur, and Rajshahi, the program currently serves 5,000 students.

Using a blended learning model powered by video conferencing, the program connects qualified teachers with students in hard-to-reach communities, enabling live, interactive classroom sessions that broaden students’ horizons. It follows the English version of the National Curriculum (NCTB) and aims to equip students with skills and knowledge to empower them to break the cycle of poverty.

In addition to education, JAAGO also ensures students receive essential materials, nutrition, hygiene products, and opportunities for co-curricular activities to support their overall development.

Sponsor A Child Program

At the heart of JAAGO’s Digital School Program is its Sponsor A Child program that enables compassionate individuals and organisations to contribute toward the education and holistic development of a child living in poverty.

Far beyond financial assistance, the Sponsor A Child program fosters meaningful human connections. Sponsors receive regular updates about the child's progress and are encouraged to build a relationship through letters, video calls, or occasional visits. These connections evolve into bonds rooted in empathy, trust, and shared hope, giving children the emotional encouragement they need to dream bigger, while offering sponsors a deeply personal window into the lives they’re transforming.

By intertwining philanthropy with human connection, the program exemplifies JAAGO’s belief that sustainable change begins with shared responsibility and heartfelt engagement.
